GeoNotify is a simple Android geolocation application developed by Svitla Systems’ Android developers.

GeoNotify application provides the possibility to set various Point of Interest (POI) for GPS map. When the user goes on a route, the Android device gives out a signal about approaching to POI. The application is able to set active and inactive status of POI. For example, it can be used to avoid oversleeping your bus stop or to remind you to visit a supermarket to do shopping when you drive close to it. The distance of approaching to point POI can be set as s parameter for 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 meters. Frequency of updating GPS is defined as a parameter for 5, 30, 60 or 120 seconds to save the battery resource. The application can work with GPS or with a cellular network depending on accepted signals.

GeoNotify can also send a Twitter message if you approach to POI or leave it. Both Twitter in and out messages could be customized for every POI. An application has a settings to switch on or switch off all Twitter messages in Settings. This allows you easily announce in Twitter “I am home” , “I am on the dancing classes” or “I am leaving my office, please make a dinner”.
