mapNotes combines Geolocation and Notepad functions. You can review your current location and the current situation on the highways near it. You can also remember those places where you were and those that you want to visit. What mapNotes can do
- determines your current Location
- determines the Geolocation by coordinates or address
- remembers the current (or found) location
- reviews the database records
- Traffic Mashup = Google Traffic + Yahoo Traffic – Road congestion review
After loading the application just displays your current location.
You can change the scale by double touch (larger) or multi touch (smaller).
For review the desired location you need to declare
- its coordinates in format latitude, longitude
or
- its address in format: street, city, state
in the text field and to push findMe button.
You can add comments in the text field.
By pushing remember button you can save the current (or found) location (with or without comment) in phone database.
There are current date & time, latitude & longitude, street, city, state, comment in the database record.
You can browse the database records on Note tab.

Note tab displays the database records in data & time decreasing order, i.e. last records reside on the top of the list.
By pushing some record you can review its location and comment.
For returning to the list you need to push notations button.
Traffic tab displays the current situation on the highways within a radius of 2 km from the current location (Google Traffic service) and the information about accidents and road repairs (Yahoo Traffic service).
The information automatically updates every 5 minutes or if you change your current location for more than 1000m.
