Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Scrum Master and Release Train Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a global technology company specializing in self-service payment solutions and digital customer engagement for the retail petroleum industry. Headquartered in New Zealand, they offer a range of innovative products designed to enhance the customer experience at fuel stations and retail locations. The solution is designed to provide secure, fast, and reliable payment processing at fuel dispensers. These terminals support various payment methods, including EMV, NFC, and mobile payments. This software platform enables remote management and monitoring of payment devices. It includes features for security, diagnostics, and real-time updates, facilitating efficient operation and maintenance. The solutions allow for remote monitoring and management, reducing downtime and maintenance costs while ensuring devices are always up-to-date and secure. The client operates in multiple countries and serves many clients, from small independent fuel retailers to large multinational chains.
Tech stack: cloud projects, integrating across applications.
Requirememts
- Minimum of 5 years in Agile environments, with at least 3 years as a Release Train Engineer or similar leadership role.
- Background in large-scale program delivery, with experience leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs) involving multiple teams.
- Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer or equivalent role, with deep knowledge of the SAFe framework and Agile principles. SAFe RTE certification is strongly preferred.
- Advanced experience with Jira for managing Agile workflows, program increment (PI) planning, and team coordination.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) in Agile environments, including release management, quality assurance, and DevOps practices.
- Experience delivering software solutions for oil & gas or other enterprise-level clients, with an ability to align technical work with business needs in complex industries.
- The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts, to remove impediments and ensure consistent delivery across Agile teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risks and dependencies across teams while leveraging metrics (e.g., velocity, predictability) to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of related tools like Confluence or other collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for streamlining releases.
Responsibilities
- Direct the work of 2 Scrum teams, including change management CMRs for production releases.
- Once a quarter, facilitate the Program Increment Planning for a SAFe Release Trai.n
- Track Release Train Progress through the quarter and reporting status.
