Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Data Migration Specialist for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a European-based healthcare group that focuses on providing advanced medical services, primarily in assisted reproduction, gynecology, gastroenterology, genetics, and other associated disciplines of women’s health. The company’s clinics offer comprehensive treatment of fertility problems and sterility, including genetic, immunological, and other follow-up examinations, enabling female patients across European markets, including the Czech Republic, Ireland, Netherlands, Finland, Romania, and Estonia, to get reliable care. They provide top-tier medical services by integrating advanced technologies and innovative treatments. They have continued to grow yearly since the foundation in 2014, run by more than 1,000 skilled team members and 450 doctors.
The project duration is a minimum of 4-6 months.
The team is rolling out a new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system across multiple clinics, starting with a pilot clinic and expanding to others. Ensuring accurate data migration is critical as they transition from legacy EMR systems. You will be dedicated to overseeing, validating, and executing data migration efforts, working closely with vendors, clinic Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and internal stakeholders. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of patient and medical data during migrations and ensuring seamless transitions across clinics.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Good knowledge of relational DB.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with scripting languages, Python, e.g
- Experience in the healthcare domain.
- Upper-intermediate-level of English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is a huge plus.
- Experience with Apache NiF
Responsibilities:
Data Mapping and Validation:
- Collaborate with clinic SMEs and the EMR Product Owner to validate the data mapping provided by the EMR vendor.
- Ensure all critical patient and medical data fields are accurately mapped and meet predefined business rules and clinical standards.
Migration Execution and Oversight:
- Oversee the vendor-led data migration process, ensuring the migration is executed correctly and within established timelines.
- Perform hands-on data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks as needed.
- Work closely with clinic teams to ensure successful data migration with minimal disruptions to operations.
Automated Data Quality Checks:
- Develop and implement automated data quality checks to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of migrated data.
- Utilize tools and frameworks for automated data validation to identify any discrepancies or errors during migration.
Issue Identification and Resolution:
- Identify, document, and address any data quality issues or anomalies that arise during migration.
- Collaborate with data engineers, system developers, and vendors to resolve migration issues promptly.
- Ensure corrective actions are taken before finalizing each migration phase.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of data mapping, migration processes, and data validation efforts.
- Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders, including clinics, IT teams, and leadership, on the progress of each migration.
- Produce a comprehensive final report summarizing the quality and success of the migration, including any issues encountered and their resolutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with clinic SMEs, IT teams, and vendors to facilitate the smooth migration of data between EMR systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any data migration-related concerns or questions, ensuring alignment across all parties involved.
Continuous Improvement:
- Enhance the overall data migration framework, incorporating lessons learned from each clinic migration.
- Proactively suggest improvements to the data migration process to increase efficiency and accuracy for future clinics.
