Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Network Engineer with Juniper and F5 for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is an online marketing company headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts. It provides email marketing, social media marketing, event marketing, and online survey tools to help small organizations grow their businesses by building stronger customer relationships. More than 500,000 small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and member associations rely on the easy-to-use, affordable online tools to create and deliver personalized, professional communications that engage customers, members, and prospects wherever they congregate online – from their email inboxes to their social networks. As an industry leader in permission-based online marketing, the client partners with leading online and social media marketing solutions providers.
The team uses various vendor equipment, manages on-premise and cloud connectivity, and is responsible for DC networking and corporate office network needs. You can attend technical conferences and access training for new skills or certifications. Overtime is paid. Working hours: Overlap till 8 PM CET
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering in large-scale enterprise and data center Juniper-focused environments.
- Understanding automation with tools like Ansible to provision and configure network infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of configuration of security appliances (Palo Alto, F5, and Juniper products).
- Understanding of load balancing technologies, DNS, and SaaS Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and GCP. Understanding of cloud and on-premises network connectivity.
- Knowledge of wireless technologies for corporate offices.
- Solid experience with routing and switching technologies like TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS (L2 & L3 VPN), RSVP, LDP, and switching technologies (VLAN/trunking, STP, RSTP, VSTP).
- Experience with Linux to deploy monitoring tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with Perl or Python.
- Vendor certification in routing and switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies(JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy new infrastructure.
- Recommend upgrades and solve complex issues on existing infrastructure.
- Participate in life cycle projects of network gear.
- Automate day-to-day tasks of network provisioning.
- Participate in delivering complex projects and also communicate well with other operations teams.
- Train and mentor junior engineers.
- Provide DDOS mitigations and other security initiatives.
- Work on PCI and compliance tasks.
- Perform day-to-day tasks of deploying or maintaining data center or corporate office network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other operations teams to troubleshoot and fix complex issues.
- Generate and update documentation.
- Be a part of a 24×7 network engineering team and take part in on-call rotations (once a new engineer has been onboarded, they join others in a pool for on-call rotation. So, in a 6-member team, everyone gets a week of on-call once in 6 weeks. During their turn, the engineer responds to alerts or pages by NOC to fix an issue with the infrastructure. During the on-call week, an automated or manual escalation can come to the engineer at any time of the day. If it is from 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern time, other team members can handle it if the on-call engineer is in a different time zone. For example, if the on-call engineer is in India’s time zone and a page comes at 4 PM (past midnight India time), someone on the team can acknowledge the page and let the on-call engineer sleep. Also, there is a possibility of offering relaxed hours the following day, depending on how involved the on-call escalation/page was the night before).
