Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is dedicated to providing superior personal automobile, commercial automobile, motorcycle, and off-road vehicle insurance, primarily serving customers in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.

The company utilizes the latest technologies to deliver exceptional service to meet and exceed customer​ expectations. Auto insurance covers damages to vehicles and liability for injuries or damages caused to others. Homeowner’s insurance protects homes and personal property from various risks, such as fire, theft, and natural disasters, and commercial insurance protects businesses from liability, property damage, and business interruptions. Since 1989, they have been providing personal insurance to individuals and families.

The goal is to provide customers with a comprehensive personal automobile, commercial automobile, or motorcycle/off-road vehicle insurance policy at a competitive price through various flexible payment plans. You will work with our offshore development team and participate in architecture, design, and code development sessions for various projects to support the growing business.   

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with offshore teams.
  • At least 7 years of experience, including but not limited to:
  • Development in a multi-developer environment.
  • Developing object-oriented applications with C#, .NET 4.6, .NET Core, JavaScript, and SQL 2008/2017.
  • Experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio .NET).
  • Developing user interfaces in ASP.NET using HTML and CSS, RazorEngine.
  • Creating, handling, and maintaining web graphics for application design.
  • Developing and implementing SOAP based web services and XML.
  • Developing and implementing Web API REST services and JSON.
  • Unit testing.
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure deployments.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Be very comfortable programming and still be “hands-on.”
  • Self-starter.
  • Ability to work under less guidance and independent thinking.
  • Passion for creating highly available, flexible solutions that are easy to maintain.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple job assignments.
  • University Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work within an Agile team (product managers, other developers, analysts, and end-user staff).
  • Apply application development standards based on .NET best practices, emphasizing writing testable code.
  • Act as a key resource in architecture and infrastructure decisions.
  • Work closely with the product managers and leadership to create development plans and estimates for products and initiatives.
  • Execute project initiatives across the web and mobile.
  • Compose technical and user specification documentation to support application code design efforts.
