Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Power BI Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a global company specializing in intelligent automation solutions, providing integrated systems for warehouse logistics, material handling, and supply chain optimization. Founded in 1819, it has become a leader in designing, building, and supporting automated systems for various industries, including retail, e-commerce, food and beverage, healthcare, and manufacturing.
The solutions range from automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), conveyor systems, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to advanced robotics, software, and artificial intelligence-driven warehouse management systems. These systems optimize the movement, storage, and handling of goods, helping companies increase operational efficiency and reduce costs. The company’s headquarters are in Atlanta, Georgia, and it operates globally, with offices and facilities in over 25 countries.
This position is anticipated to last 3 months, with an estimated start date of October 1, 2024.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including report building, data modeling, and DAX.
- Strong knowledge of databases and SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Experience with Snowflake (highly preferred) or similar cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong understanding of data engineering practices, including the ability to create and manage database tables and views.
- Proven track record of delivering BI solutions with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and implement advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements at a conceptual level and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Create and manage database tables, views, and queries to support data transformation and reporting needs.
- Leverage SQL and Snowflake (preferred) to integrate, manage, and retrieve data for reporting purposes.
- Support data engineering efforts to ensure optimal data flows, accuracy, and efficiency in BI solutions.
- Maintain a high level of data accuracy and quality across reports and visualizations.
- Provide insights and recommendations through data analysis to improve decision-making processes.
- Work collaboratively across functions and disciplines to ensure solutions align with overall business goals.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines and priorities.
- Act as a self-directed team member, requiring minimal oversight to deliver high-quality results.
Nice to have
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
