At Svitla, we recognize the profound impact that supporting various charity activities can have on both our community and our organization. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility is deeply embedded in our company ethos, reflecting our dedication to making a positive difference in the world.

We are delighted to present our 2017 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) summary, which highlights our unwavering dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

SMART FUTURE FUND

Svitla is happy to support a great initiative called “Smart Future”, which provides free IT education to orphans, children with special needs, and children from large families.

The Smart Future Fund organizes special IT courses for 75 children. Older children study PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, QA, while younger kids learn robotics, system administration, computers, etc. Besides technical skills, there are classes on personal growth and leadership skills. Each course takes 2-5 months and is taught by professional developers and mentors. At the end of each course, children receive the certificate and an opportunity to become a trainee in leading IT-companies. The Fund constantly searches for support to provide the best teachers and technical equipment.

Svitla supports 7 students, who’ve recently joined the IT school. Their learning will continue for the next 2 months, during which they will gain new programming and testing skills.

Since children are our future, we hold enormous respect for the important work carried out by the members of the charity fund “Smart Future”. Svitla Systems will continue to support this wonderful initiative in the future.

SVITLA MARATHONS

Svitla people are passionate about running. We not only promote healthy lifestyles for our personnel but also actively participate in fund-raising running events of various types. We then donate the raised funds to different social projects. Many marathons collect donations for various social and child development programs, which we happily support.

JOIN IT

Svitla was happy to support the spring educational program “Join IT”. The main goal of this program was to bring awareness to the students about all the opportunities in the IT industry and give advice on how to get started in this field. 35 schools in 10 cities have participated in this program. Children had an opportunity to interact with 8 speakers. The outcome of this event - many inspired children! We are proud of Svitla’s Team impact and influence on the future generation about to enter IT.

Many companies celebrated this year’s Developers Day (13th September) with a great Flashmob, that took place in 19 cities, 114 schools and engaged over 100 IT specialists. Svitla is very proud of our seniors Roman Marshevskyy and Oleksandr Lapchuk, who took an active part in this event and visited several schools, presented the fall educational program “Join IT 2017”, and gave first-hand advice on how to start a career in this field.

CODE SUMMER: FIRST STEP IN IT

Svitla Systems was honored to sponsor the scholastic project aimed to improve IT education for kids. The program titled “CODE summer: First step into IT” provided 90 children with an opportunity to experience being a developer, a tester, and a project manager. As part of the program, children participated in the competition to win the prize for the best project. The competition was won by a student who produced a cryptobot that save data without the need to remember passwords. Our QA senior - Oleksii Burdin - has been overseeing the children during the development process, guiding them with useful recommendations and references, providing a series of training on Software Testing and ultimately judging the projects.
