The partnership between Svitla Systems and Ukrainian Catholic University (UKU) began last year with a one-year scholarship provided to the student who needed it most, according to the university students’ committee. Since then Natalia Anon, CEO and President of Svitla Systems, agreed to support one student each year.

In 2019 the university’s committee gave the scholarship to another student of UKU,18-old Kirusenko Yuliya.  She is originally from the smaller city of Bohuslav and moved to Lviv to study Theology, which was, as she herself says a life-pronounced choice. Her family had been supporting her education, but found it a struggle, especially with her father being a soldier in ATO.

Svitla has gladly stepped up to support Yuliya and her desire to learn, providing an opportunity for her to focus on self-development and all the pleasures of young students’ life.

Andrii Gubar, Project and Program Manager, Development Department, UCU: “We are truly grateful to Svitla Systems for sharing our views on bringing up future generations and providing support to the most talented students.  All our charity for UKU students produces wonderful results. This year we managed to give scholarships to very strong students, as according to our data over 55% of our 340 new students form 5% of the best graduates across Ukraine. This is a great achievement and but it is also a great responsibility to work with such strong and talented youth. We strongly believe that by investing in our present students, we are in reality investing in the best possible future of our country.”
