Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Cybersecurity Data Analyst for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Using patented AI-powered algorithms, it analyzes a fraction of network traffic to deliver accurate, real-time insights into potential threats. This proprietary technology autonomously detects and analyzes network patterns using only 1% of data traffic to achieve complete visibility across the entire network. The solution is designed to integrate effortlessly with any network type, whether on-premises, cloud-based, or hybrid, ensuring scalability without additional agents or sensors. Designed for smart cities, enterprises, and service providers, it enables proactive defense against evolving cyber threats while ensuring minimal resource consumption. The company, headquartered in Washington, DC, provides organizations with advanced tools to predict and mitigate cyber threats effectively.

We are looking for a Security Analyst to join the team, specializing in leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to detect and prevent cyber threats. You will analyze large-scale network data, build predictive models, and contribute to the ongoing development of cybersecurity defense mechanisms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Statistics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of Python. 
  • Solid knowledge of Pandas.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, intrusion detection systems, and network security concepts.
  • Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies and cloud environments (AWS).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance standards (SOC2, FedRAMP, NIST).
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Keras, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze network and security data to identify anomalies and potential cyber threats.
  • Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms for threat detection.
  • Utilize Python and data science libraries (Pandas) for data processing and analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with cybersecurity and engineering teams to integrate analytical models into cybersecurity solutions.
  • Monitor and improve the effectiveness of predictive models and analytical approaches.
  • Prepare detailed analysis reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
