Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Deployment and Build Engineer (Platform Deployment & Support) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Costa Rica.

Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional experience with:
- Jenkins;
- Maven;
- Bitbucket;
- GitHub;
- AWS and CI/CD tools;
- Linux OS;
- Java 7, 8, 11+;
- Sonar;
- Queue (ActiveMQ);
- Unix scripts;
- Databases: Oracle 12c &19c (index, IOPS, basic query), PostgreSQL, AWS DynamoDB;
- ITIL/ITSM;
- Apache Camel.
- Good communication skills (written and oral).
- The ability to take initiative, ownership, and leadership of the deployment & build process and technical requirements.
- Ability to build relationship management and coordination between dev, QA, and production support teams.
- Expertise in reporting and tracking deployment efforts and results weekly.
- Continuous improvement mindset: how can we improve and mature the build & deployment processes and tooling.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Spring
- Knowledge of Struts
- Understanding web services.
- Experience with Jasper.
Responsibilities
- Assist with deploying builds, configure the QA environment, and deploy to the production environment.
- Maintain the scripts that require periodic maintenance (there are currently scripts that exist to perform the deployment to QA).
- After every deployment, perform a sanity test to ensure the environment is available for the QA test cycle.
- Learn the tools, processes, and basics of the applications being deployed.
- Integrate the deployment process into the target state CI/CD.
- Work on Oracle and Postgres dump loads on non-prod environments.
- Triage, analyze, and resolve all the issues during the B&D.
