Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Full Stack Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina.
Our client is a U.S.-based mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that delivers affordable, flexible, and contract-free mobile phone and internet services across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The company allow users to choose the network that best fits their coverage needs and to keep their existing phone and number or select new ones as been an early adopter of new technologies, including eSIM activation and the integration of all major U.S. networks, and continues to expand its plan options, bundles, and brand awareness. The company offers various monthly and annual plans, including options for light users, heavy data users, digital nomads, families, and business needs. Plans range from minimal data to unlimited 5G data, with options to pay monthly or annually at discounted rates.
You’ll be working on robust systems already in production, while contributing to modernizing the stack for the future.
Tech Stack: PHP, Zend Framework, JavaScript, MySQL, React, Laravel, AI/ML tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- Strong knowledge of PHP 7+ and Zend Framework (v1 & v3).
- Solid experience with JavaScript and MySQL.
- Experience deploying and maintaining systems on AWS (EC2, RDS, Aurora).
- Familiarity with version control using Git.
- Understanding working in Linux environments.
- Fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Interest and experience with AI technologies (e.g., ML tools, APIs, data processing).
Nice to have
- Experience with Laravel, React, or other modern frameworks.
- Knowledge of API development and microservices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and tools like Jira.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and extend back-end systems using PHP and Zend Framework.
- Implement and enhance front-end features using JavaScript, and progressively integrate modern frameworks like React.
- Participate in the transition of systems towards newer stacks such as Laravel.
- Contribute to designing and integrating AI features and automation tools within existing platforms.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
- Reverse engineer legacy codebases as needed.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings in English.
- Collaborate via Slack and Git, and follow company SOPs.
