Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a U.S.-based mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that delivers affordable, flexible, and contract-free mobile phone and internet services across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.. The company allow users to choose the network that best fits their coverage needs and to keep their existing phone and number or select new ones as been an early adopter of new technologies, including eSIM activation and the integration of all major U.S. networks, and continues to expand its plan options, bundles, and brand awareness. The company offers various monthly and annual plans, including options for light users, heavy data users, digital nomads, families, and business needs. Plans range from minimal data to unlimited 5G data, with options to pay monthly or annually at discounted rates. 

This role will be vital in enabling high product reliability by implementing test automation strategies across backend and frontend systems. You will be responsible for bootstrapping the QA automation framework, ensuring scalability, and integrating it seamlessly into the delivery pipeline.

Tech Stack: PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AWS.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation, including framework creation and test infrastructure deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of Selenium, Cypress, or other automation frameworks, and experience with structured test frameworks.
  • Practical understanding of integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
  • Experience with AI-powered testing tools or frameworks, such as machine learning for test case generation and optimization, or predictive quality analysis.
  • Experience working with Postman for data-driven and API validations.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a systematic approach to problem-solving in QA contexts.
  • Deep technical proficiency and a practical mindset to establish and maintain a robust automated testing infrastructure. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Architect and launch a full-fledged automated testing setup tailored to the team’s tech stack and delivery model.
  • Create maintainable automation scripts for web and API validation using Java, Selenium, Cypress, and TestNG.
  • Build automation pipelines into CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and oversee test executions and report generation.
  • Coordinate closely with the engineering team to align testing scenarios with new feature development and bug remediation.
  • Collaborate with other QA team members to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Monitor ongoing test runs, investigate anomalies, and identify root causes of test failures.
  • Generate reports of QA test runs.
  • Communicate QA outcomes clearly and effectively across cross-functional teams and leadership.
