Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA. Our client is an American multinational company that operates, franchises, and licenses lodging, including hotel, residential, and timeshare properties. It’s also the largest hotel chain in the world in terms of the number of available rooms. The company is based in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, and encompasses a portfolio of nearly 8,300 properties under 30 leading brands spanning 138 countries and territories.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of professional experience in software development.
- At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing highly customized Salesforce applications, primarily using Lightning Web or Aura components.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce, staying Experience with User Behavior Analysis monitoring, scripting, and alerting.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, Python, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL, and DevOps concepts.
- Understanding in building application observability using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Experience with major architectural bodies of work within a front-end application and building UI component libraries.
- Experience with monitoring, performance analysis, and code quality metrics coupled with a drive for code quality and encouraging peers to elevate their craft.
- Hands-on experience crafting robust unit tests and working with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when conveying technical concepts to audiences at all levels.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and follow-through abilities.
- Ability to mentor and learn from other team members through pairing, code reviews, and documentation.
- An unbridled curiosity and interest in problem-solving and iterative development.
- A constant drive to complete projects and to overcome roadblocks with positivity and creativity.
- You aren’t afraid to correct the anti-patterns you’ve noticed within the team.
- B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Leverage SFDC expertise to act as a Technical Architect and hands-on Salesforce Developer at times.
- Lead design, architecture, and custom development in one of the most prominent Salesforce organizations using Salesforce and other web technologies such as Apex, JavaScript, LWC, REST API, and GraphQL.
- Design and oversee technical architecture solutions that integrate with other internal systems, focusing on security, authentication, scalability, and performance.
- Make informed decisions on architectural design, considering tradeoffs, benefits, and recommendations.
- Drive UX and design strategies, seeking platform adoption improvements.
- Update with the latest releases and guide on new capabilities.
- Identify process and system optimization opportunities for efficiency and end-user experience.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand and translate requirements into solutions.
- Cooperate with other engineering teams across the organization is essential for its success and drive continuous development and iterative deployments.
- Develop and manage off-platform automation scripts utilizing Python.
- Assist the client’s security efforts by reviewing Shield Event logs and alerts.
