Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Bulgaria. Our client is a global financial services provider. Requierements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Previous experience as DBA/Developer.
- Understanding ETL, ELT, and pipeline tools (Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, Stitch).
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
- Knowledge of data lakes (Azure Data Lake).
- Understanding of data modeling (dbt).
- Understanding of data orchestration tools (Airflow).
- Knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Knowledge of Data Message Bus/Pub/Sub systems (Azure ASQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with cloud workflow service (Azure Logic Apps, Camunda).
- Experience with interactive Query Services (Azure DL Analytics).
- Experience in event and schedule management (Azure Functions).
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking and research capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan and manage your workloads.
- Work well on your initiative and be part of a bigger team.
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development Lifecycles.
- Desire to learn AWS tools.
- Ability to seamlessly transition between products, squads, and projects as needed.

- Experience in reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, QuickSight, Mode)
- Experience with AWS cloud provider
Responsibilities
- Perform as part of a squad, delivering through agile methodologies.
- Work with customers, partners, and peers to identify data requirements.
- Help break down significant problems into smaller iterative steps.
- Contribute to defining the prioritization of your squad’s backlog.
- Build a modern data platform (data pipelines, integrations, preparation, models, analytical, and reporting marts) based on business requirements using agreed-upon design patterns.
- Help determine the most appropriate tool, method, and design pattern to satisfy the requirements.
- Proactively suggest improvements where they see issues.
- Prepare the data to surface it for use within APIs.
- Document, support, manage, and maintain the modern data platform built within your squad.
- Deliver guidance and training to downstream data consumers on how best to use the data in the platform.
- Contribute to evangelizing and educating within the company about the better use and value of data.
- Comply with all the company’s policies.
- Provide any other duties in the scope of the role that the company requires.
