Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company specializing in discovering, developing, and commercializing prescription medicines. The company operates in several therapeutic areas, including oncology, cardiovascular, renal, metabolic, respiratory, immunology, and rare diseases. They work alongside the world’s leading academic and biotech research institutions to stimulate innovation and evaluate emerging technologies. The client operates in over 100 countries, and its innovative medicines are used by millions of patients worldwide. The headquarters is located in Cambridge, United Kingdom. This location aligns with the focus on science and innovation, providing proximity to leading academic and research institutions.
Flexibility in the schedule will be necessary since there will be an overlap with the UK. The preferred location is Guadalajara because visiting offices 2-3 times a week is possible.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, ECS, etc.
- Strong proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, with experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid experience with Python or TypeScript.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and hands-on experience with related tools Terraform/OpenTofu.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Knowledge or Agile frameworks (Agile).
- Knowledge of management of collaborative tools (Jira, Trello).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in English.
- Nice to have: AWS Professional and specialty certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute DevOps best practices, automation strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Architect and optimize system and application deployment strategies for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
- Implement and manage containerization solutions for application deployment and scalability.
- Utilize CI/CD tools to automate the software delivery pipeline and ensure continuous integration and deployment.
