Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior FinOps Analyst for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in India (Pune). They provide a unified, cloud-based spend management platform that connects hundreds of organizations representing the Americas, EMEA, and APAC with millions of suppliers globally. As a Senior FinOps Analyst, you will be pivotal in optimizing financial performance, providing actionable insights, and fostering a cost-conscious organizational culture. Your expertise will directly support key business objectives, such as achieving EBITDA targets, improving resource utilization, and enhancing our overall cloud governance maturity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, cloud cost management, or a related field, with a strong focus on FinOps or cloud financial governance.
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, CloudHealth, or similar).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Expertise in analyzing large datasets and providing clear, actionable insights.
- Experience with Container cost reporting and optimization.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation principles.
- Experience with TCO analysis and financial modeling for cloud and IT infrastructure.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical and financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to partner effectively across functions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Nice to have
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional certification (or a strong willingness to achieve certification within the first six months).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Responsibilities
Financial Optimization:
- Analyze cloud usage and spending to identify optimization opportunities and deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
- Develop, refine, and monitor cloud cost allocation and chargeback models.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives such as rightsizing, reserved instance planning, and waste reduction.
Reporting and Insights:
- Build and maintain FinOps dashboards to provide real-time visibility into cloud costs and usage trends.
- Present financial insights to stakeholders, highlighting key drivers and trends in spending.
- Track the financial impact of cost optimization efforts and report progress against goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, finance, procurement, and cloud operations teams to align on financial objectives and cost-saving strategies.
- Partner with stakeholders to incorporate FinOps principles into cloud governance and procurement processes.
Process Improvement:
- Standardize FinOps processes, ensuring consistency and scalability across teams.
- Develop frameworks for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Create and update documentation for FinOps policies, processes, and tools.
Education and Advocacy:
- Drive awareness and adoption of FinOps best practices across the organization.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to empower teams with the knowledge and tools to manage their cloud spend effectively.
