Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Network Development Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a cloud platform for business spend management (BSM) that helps organizations manage their spending, procurement, invoicing, expenses, and supplier relationships. They provide a unified, cloud-based spend management platform that connects hundreds of organizations representing the Americas, EMEA, and APAC with millions of suppliers globally.
The platform provides greater visibility into and control over how companies spend money. Small, medium, and large customers have used the platform to bring billions of dollars in cumulative spending under management. The company offers a comprehensive platform that helps organizations manage their spending, procurement, invoicing, expenses, and supplier relationships. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in San Mateo, California, they aim to streamline and optimize business processes, driving efficiency and cost savings.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience, including some with an enterprise SaaS organization.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of AWS and Azure network constructs (VPC/VNET and routing, SGs/NSGs, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN/Virtual WAN), stateful and stateless firewalls, site-to-site and remote access VPN, DNS, BGP, and various IGPs.
- Experience with tooling and platforms to manage and deploy infrastructure-as-code, including CI/CD and GitOps.
- Familiarity with implementing and supporting Network Security and Access Control functions in AWS and Azure (Security Groups, ACLs, Network Firewall, etc.).
- A comprehensive knowledge of network technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, BGP, and IGPs.
- Experience operating in data center and cloud environments and deploying physical network and security devices and cloud networking solutions such as web application firewalls.
- Understanding code using Python, Go, Java, Ruby, or equivalent languages.
- Understanding of management of system-critical Public and internal-facing DNS providers and zone hosting
- Experience operating public-facing email systems, including management of deliverability and reputation scoring.
- Familiarity with deploying cloud network infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation or experience with Chef.
- The ability to own and deliver projects and issues to resolution.

- A solid understanding of networking systems and protocols, particularly in a public cloud environment.
- The ability to work in a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, or business
- Experience support remote user access via VPN using products like Netskope, Zscaler, or Aviatrix ecosystem.
- Understanding of SSL/TLS PKI and common certificate management strategies and solutions.
- Current OS, Networking, or Cloud Certifications.
- Knowledge of load balancing with cloud-native or 3rd party virtual appliances.
- Experience with 3rd party network security solutions from Palo Alto, Fortinet, and/or Check Point.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, automate, and support network solutions in a massive-scale public cloud environment (primarily AWS; Azure).
- Develop roadmaps using established public cloud design standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide network support to the engineering organization.
- Bring a development mindset in areas such as managing network infrastructure as code, elimination of toil through automation, and a strong sense of accountability and service ownership.
- Evaluate, specify, implement, and support network performance, capacity and availability monitoring, and telemetry collection tools.
- Help to grow the global network function, onboarding new network development engineers, and providing technical leadership to junior members.
- Stay current with the latest developments in network infrastructure, network with peers, and attend industry events.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
- Occasionally travel as needed to perform the job function.
