Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Support Engineer Associate for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico.  Our client is the leading, clinically driven, customer-first pharmacy benefits management (PBM) company, putting the pharmacist at the center of the pharmacy care model. The company provides a platform that centralizes pharmacists in the service model to optimize medication therapies and reduce costs. Using AI-powered population health analytics, pharmacists work directly with prescribers, dispensing pharmacies, and members to coordinate pharmacy care. It enables plan sponsors to measurably improve their member health outcomes while substantially reducing prescription drug costs. The company serves sectors that require pharmacy benefits management and healthcare outcome improvement. With major offices in Montvale, NJ, and Orlando, FL, they celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2024. 

You will join the production support side team, ensuring that the files they receive and send contain the correct data, responding to incidents, eligibility issues, and issues related to accumulators. The client wants to expand the monitoring capability to automate it, but they still need personnel to check and ensure everything is working correctly physically. They will be assigned to TPA – third-party administrators (6-8 to each), which could be vendors or multiple clients. The administrators will have 30-40 clients to whom they will be reporting, and they will be monitoring everything in this space (eligibility, accumulation pieces, etc.).

Working hours are 12:00 p.m. EST – 8:00 p.m. EST. Holidays and weekends are also covered, with a day-by-day rotation across the team. 

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a related field with working in the healthcare domain.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python 
  • 3+ years of experience with RDBMS.
  • 3+ years of Azure Databricks or ADF.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Python programming, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy, health insurance, medical, and pharmacy claims processing, as well as eligibility structures and accumulators, is preferred.
  • Understanding regulated data controls, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PHI, and PII.
  • Detail-oriented individual with a commitment to producing accurate and reliable results.
  • Effective communication skills with  the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative, find answers, dig into the cause, explore solutions to make recommendations, and gather information.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data processing pipelines.
  • Assist in cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
  • Provide technical support for customers, assisting with product-related issues, troubleshooting, and escalations.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve data pipeline issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Test database pipeline architectures when appropriate and provide feedback to the data engineering organization.
  • Collaborate with the data team to write Python code for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of scripts and tools for data-related tasks.s
  • Execute SQL queries to retrieve, update, and manipulate data within relational databases.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure data integrity and optimize database performance.
  • Ensure data is accurate, secure, and compliant with organizational guidelines and any applicable regulations.
  • Create clear and concise documentation for data processing workflows, code, and analysis procedure.
  • Maintain documentation for datasets, data structures, and database schema
  • Document and track support cases in a knowledge management system for future reference.
  • Work closely with other team members to understand project requirements and deliver accurate results.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, providing input and ideas to drive process improvements.
  • Facilitate the escalation process when necessary to ensure the timely resolution of critical issues.
  • Support testing activities on new configurations.
  • Conduct a drive analysis and assessment to identify the root cause of issues.
  • Develop and implement mitigation plans.
  • Develop solutions to issues proactively and comprehensively.
  • Ideate on proactive solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate closely with internal teams to provide feedback on operational enhancements.
