CTOs at Scale NYC: Talent – where, who and how

NYC-2300×1294

Brought to you by Gather.dev with support from our partners at Svitla Systems and our sustaining partner - Engineer Access.

Attendance is limited to CTOs and VPEs running orgs of ~100+ engineers.

As AI continues to disrupt the SDLC, how will it disrupt where, who and how we hire/retain?

  • Where? In person? Hybrid? US remote? Timezone aligned? How are changes in the developer experience changing the relevance of geography on impact?
  • Who? What makes a good augmented developer and how do you test for that? And what's the future of the talent pipeline and the junior developer?
  • How? Contract or FTE? And how do you effectively determine competence (individual or organizational) through the AI generated slop?

Instead of a guest speaker, we're going to focus on structured sharing of all our experiences on the future of talent within the engineering org.

We'll have a buffet breakfast and informal networking starting at 8am followed by an interactive discussion. We're keeping this one intimate ~20 seats in a private board room near 28th and Park, so sign up quickly if you'd like a seat at the table!

Content will be done by 9.30am, although we have the space until 10am if you'd like to keep conversing!

Agenda

  • 8:00am Networking/breakfast
  • 8:30am Interactive discussion
  • 9.30am Networking
  • 10.00am End of event

We'll then be continuing the conversation online at gather.dev, so attendees will get free and guaranteed access to a brain trust focused on connecting with and learning from their closest engineering leadership peers.

We’re keeping this one fairly intimate, so if you’d like to attend, apply ASAP!

CTOs at Scale is a Gather.dev community. Gather.dev is curated by Peter Bell. We’re grateful to our partners at Svitla Systems and Engineer Access for supporting this conversation.
