As AI continues to disrupt the SDLC, how will it disrupt where, who and how we hire/retain talent?
- Where? In person? Hybrid? US remote? Timezone aligned? How are changes in the developer experience changing the relevance of geography on impact?
- Who? What makes a good augmented developer and how do you test for that? And what's the future of the talent pipeline and the junior developer?
- How? Contract or FTE? And how do you effectively determine competence (individual or organizational) through the AI generated slop?
We'll have a number of special guests share what's working within their orgs and we'll break out to dig into the subset of hiring questions that are currently on our mind - whether or not we have open headcount.
The event runs from 6.30pm - 9.30pm at 28th and Park. We kick off with food and drink followed by some short interviews at 7pm, breakouts around 7.45pm and then an opportunity to keep conversing with your peers from 8.20pm - 9.30pm.
We'll then be continuing the conversation online at gather.dev, so attendees will get free and guaranteed access to a brain trust focused on connecting with and learning from their closest engineering leadership peers.
