To be successful in today’s competitive market, companies need highly educated workers. With this reality in mind, Svitla Systems’ CEO, Nataliya Anon has turned to Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) - a unique open academic community living the Eastern Christian tradition and forming leaders to serve with professional excellence in Ukraine and internationally - to develop mutually beneficial programs.

Svitla will grant a full scholarship to one UCU student each year, beginning in September 2018. A special committee will choose the student, basing their decision on his or her examination marks, community activities and financial need.

This year, the scholarship was given to  Iryna Popovych, a promising student in the Application-Oriented Sciences division, specializing in System Analysis (IT and Business Analytics). The choice was quite easy; Iryna has demonstrated exceptional talent, a bright personality, and has an active position as a teacher and co-organizer of the Summer School for APPS Summer Camp, and also was a volunteer at the Lviv Data Science Summer School.

“We are very pleased that Svitla Systems sees and understands the importance of the work done every day in the walls of our University and supports us. Owing to the financial assistance and support of other benefactors, our University will not only be able to help specific young people to receive high-quality and thorough education, but also to improve existing curricula, and create and implement new ones.”

Natalia Anon, CEO, Svitla Systems

“I was incredibly fascinated by the level and quality of education and the great history behind Ukrainian Catholic University. It is a high honor for me and our company, to become a part of the noble work they are doing, and we are happy and honored to have this  chance to support UCU students.”
