250% Increase In Sales Speed For A New Online Store

Tahbilk and Svitla worked together to build a locally hosted online ordering system. While this served Tahbilk well over the past decade, the infrastructure was aging.  

Tahbilk has grown significantly over the years into more than just a winery, they now house a massive distribution and sales operation. This includes the Tahbilk Wine Club, a large membership-based offering for customers.  

To address Tahbilk’s challenges, Svitla proposed modernizing the e-commerce and telesales software. This included merging the two systems.  

Svitla built a single system to handle online, phone, and cellar-door sales. This consisted of real-time, single-entry inventory management to reduce administration effort and potential errors.  

The aim was to improve the inventory tracking system, as previously, Tahbilk’s two systems made inventory management complex. Items would sell out in one system but still show as available in the other, leading to overselling. Real-time tracking fixed this challenge.  

Another feature of the solution was to have a single source of truth for customer orders and feedback. This enabled Tahbilk to track and oversee feedback and queries, providing a single source for customer notes. Before this, the process used an inconsistent spreadsheet managed by multiple people, which often led to errors.  

The system was also directly integrated with Australia Post to streamline dispatch. Previously, Tahbilk would print invoices, packing forms, and mail labels, then manually match them all – now they can easily print custom packing strips.
