SENIOR CLOUD QUALITY ENGINEER

About the project:
The customer has multiple container platforms; AWS ECS, home grown Kubernetes and managed Kubernetes using AKS and EKS. The Engineer can be assigned to one of the following area:
- moving the existing workloads from ECS and home grown Kubernetes to our customized flavor of managed Kubernetes;
- extending the Cloud Resource API to provide comprehensive support for all the cloud vendor APIs in use;
- the migration of our massive EC2 deployments into our managed Kubernetes.
Requirements:
- MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years in software development
- DevOps experience
- Solid knowledge of AWS
- Hands-on experience in Kubernetes, experience in automation
- Experience in backend automation in Ruby
- Experience using Jenkins or equivalent (advanced user, not administrator).
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, OS, and networking concepts.
- Experience with working in agile scrums, object-oriented programming, and product testing in an enterprise environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication, people, and collaboration skills.
- It would be great if you are open to visit an office in Pune 2-3 times per week.
Responsibilities:
- Design, development, and maintenance of tools and processes in support of the Cloud Platforms
- Develop test strategies, and create and execute test plans both manually and via automation for ongoing releases.
- Implement and execute backend automation strategies
- Automate the jobs in Kubernetes
- Design, build, and contribute to automation tools that simulate end-user scenarios for QE validations
- Continuously maintain, innovate, and improve automation and test processes to meet the challenging demands of handling large-capacity cloud infrastructure
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and partner teams to understand the functionality and define & develop test strategies for business use cases.
- Build and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) environment
- Develop test strategies, and create and execute test plans both manually and via automation for ongoing releases.
- Code and automate application test cases for cloud platforms.
