SENIOR SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client provides solar flat roof mounting solutions to accelerate the adoption of photovoltaics worldwide. As the market share leader in flat roof mounting solutions for PV solar systems, their racking has been deployed on over 13,000 projects, totaling more than 3.0 Gigawatts in 48 US states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and over 35 other countries worldwide. With more than 15 years of experience, they are transforming the way commercial rooftop PV is done while helping the partners accelerate its adoption. The company designs and manufactures mounting systems for solar panels used in both residential and commercial installations. Their products include roof mounts, ground mounts, and carport structures that support solar panels and allow for optimal placement and orientation to capture sunlight. The client employs engineers and experts in solar energy and structural design. They provide custom solutions and support for various solar projects, helping customers optimize their solar installations for maximum energy production. You will support the solution by interfacing directly with customers, the sales team, application engineers, technical designers, the product owner, and in-house and 3rd party software developers to resolve complex technical issues. This position serves as a software tester within the software QA team.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in a technical or related area (preferably technical design or software development).
  • 3+ years of experience in formal system and functional software testing within an SDLC/software development environment.
  • 1+ years of experience with AutoCAD.
  • Expertise in documentation review and evaluating processes & work products against quality criteria or requirements.
  • Expertise in analyzing and reviewing requirements to understand system/software functionality.
  • Understanding of formal software testing types and concepts.
  • Understanding of commercial building codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong skills in project and people management, with strong attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter and fast learner.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task within a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with technical solid presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in test planning, designing, and estimation.
  • Assist with analyzing requirements and preparing for test execution.
  • Execute manual functional and regression tests.
  • Perform testing assignments assigned by test leads/manager.
  • Collaborate with the development team and work with the development team comfortably and under pressure.
  • Report and track defects.
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs until closure.
  • Perform regular Quality Assurance (QA) activities, including providing direct support to developers, verifying release candidates through multiple testing phases, and communicating all findings to stakeholders in real time.
  • Assist with the upkeep of software-related items (e.g., OS assets/data, internal Excel/AutoCAD templates, Helper Tools, Block libraries, etc.).
  • Assist with the upkeep of customer service-related documentation, training material, FAQs, etc.
  • Maintain historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.
  • Support client confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
